Devdas Goswami, a compassionate force driving transformative change for the underprivileged. From providing sustenance to the hungry to offering shelter to the homeless, Devdas’s unwavering commitment has impacted countless lives. Hailing from Ganaur, a small city in Haryana, Devdas epitomizes altruism and empathy.
Born into humble beginnings, Devdas Goswami’s path has been marked by resilience in the face of adversity. Inspired by his own struggles, Devdas embarked on a mission to alleviate the suffering of others.
In 1978, while working as a truck driver, Devdas witnessed the dire circumstances of the less fortunate firsthand. Motivated by their plight, he took decisive action. Armed with just Rs 500 a month, he outfitted his truck with a stove and provisions, ensuring that no hungry soul was overlooked.
Today, Devdas, alongside his wife Tara, oversees two old age homes in Dwarka, Delhi, and Ganaur, Haryana. These sanctuaries provide not only food and shelter but also essential medical care to hundreds in need, offering them a chance at a fresh start.
For over 35 years, Devdas has remained resolute in his mission. Despite facing financial constraints, his steadfast dedication to serving the marginalized has never wavered.
Yet, Devdas’s vision extends far beyond the present. With aspirations of establishing 20 more homes, he is determined to perpetuate his legacy of compassion for years to come.
